System Level Hardware Design

Oasis is a fabless semiconductor startup on Route 128 in Burlington Massachusetts specializing in the office automation market (copiers, printers, fax, multifunctional peripherals). The innovative "DigiColor" architecture and leading edge ASIC technology have placed Oasis at the forefront of system-on-a-chip designs for this rapidly growing market. The ongoing transition in the office automation market to color and digital technology has created a tremendous opportunity for Oasis.

The next generation Oasis Color-MFP-on-a-chip ASIC is winning numerous design-ins. Each customer design requires varying degrees of engineering and implementation support from Oasis, such as prototype development, printed circuit board design and creating schematics. Oasis has an immediate need for an experienced System Level Hardware Design Engineer with experience in some or all of the following areas:

-PCB design and assembly

-CCD or CIS image sensing scanners

-Prototype development

-Optics

-Stepper motor control

-SDRAM interfacing

-Embedded system designs

-Ink Jet printers Laser printers

-OrCAD schematic entry tool

-Altera FPGAs

Responsibilities include technical support for customer design wins, prototype development and support of the "DigiColor" reference design. Competitive compensation includes salary plus stock options. This is a full time, permanent position.
